The Washington State Parent Information and Resource Center in Walla Walla is located at Blue Ridge Elementary School at 1150 West Chestnut St. Classes, at no cost to parents, meaningful information, and parent resources are available. Check the Winter Quarter calendar to preview classes and upcoming events. News UpdateWA-PIRC had a successful year offering classes in Walla Walla at no cost to parents, as well as keeping them supplied with meaningful information and parent resources. Some of the more popular classes offered were Beginning Computers, English as a Second Language, Lifestyle Management, Love & Logic, and a presentation regarding Gangs. Community members volunteered to assist with child care. In the late Spring, a Getting Ready to Learn class was taught to parents and their preschoolers in preparation for getting them ready for kindergarten. The last Advisory Committee meeting was held on March 11, whereby parents, school administrators, and community members had an opportunity to give input as to the needs of the community and its link to schools. The WA-PIRC Board met on April 15 at the Walla Walla Community College for their annual meeting. What's Going on in Walla Walla
